Commonly heralded as “The UK’s Hardest Working Band”, Nottingham power trio Witch Tripper play Groove Shred & Roll. With a fiercely independent DIY approach they've become one of the biggest underground bands on the UK scene. Forming in 2014, they've racked up over 300 gigs, across thousands of miles, performing at nearly every city in the UK, as well as major festivals such as Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell and Amplified.
When Witch Tripper's self-titled debut album was released in 2016, the band won Metal 2 The Masses and the honour of opening up the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Festival, performing to a capacity tent of 5,000 people. Cementing their reputation as a formidable live band Witch Tripper built up a loyal following by performing 86 gigs in 2017 alone, including major slots at Hard Rock Hell Doom vs. Stoner alongside Orange Goblin and My Dying Bride and also Amplified Festival alongside Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons and Puddle of Mudd.
With anticipation amongst fans mounting, Witch Tripper released their second album 'I, Of The Storm' in 2018. It received rave reviews and was hailed as an album that "crashes in, grabs your attention and refuses to let go" (Phoenix Rising) and "a take no prisoners and give no quarter rocket ride of hi-octane, foot to the floor rock'n'roll played hard, played fast and played dirty" (Stoner King). Simply put "the strong and heavy riff songs are so catchy it is impossible to pause or fast forward. There are no weak songs in this album" (Independent Voice).
The band continued to tour heavily in support of the album, including a notable performance at Hard Rock Hell in Ibiza, Spain and major slots at festivals alongside their new peers such as Decapitated, Trollfest, Fireball Ministry and Monolord.
2020 sees Witch Tripper bring the party with an extensive tour and dates across the UK, Ireland and Spain. The band are also writing a new album, due to be released in the latter half of the year.
